Bushy Tail Tribe Forest School is excited to launch a new Home Education Day starting this September for children aged 7–11 years. We warmly invite you to join us for our Home Education Taster Session on 11th August. This introductory session will run for 2 hours, giving children and parents the opportunity to experience our Forest School approach, meet the team, explore our woodland setting, and discover what Bushy Tail Tribe is all about. Activities throughout the term may include: - Den building - Safe tool use and woodcraft - Fire lighting and outdoor cooking - Nature-inspired arts and crafts - Wildlife and environmental education - Educational games and challenges - Project-based learning - Seasonal nature activities Regular Sessions From September, our Home Education sessions will run for 4 hours (12pm-4pm) providing children with ample time to become fully engaged in activities, develop new skills, and enjoy meaningful outdoor learning without feeling rushed. Our sessions provide a rich outdoor learning experience where children can develop practical skills, build confidence, and nurture a lifelong connection with nature. We create a safe, supportive environment where every child is encouraged to explore, ask questions, solve problems, and learn through hands-on experiences. At Bushy Tail Tribe, we are passionate about teaching children about the natural world, caring for the environment, and looking after themselves and others. Every session is designed to inspire curiosity, independence, resilience, and creativity. Each child leaves with something valuable to take away, whether that's a new skill, increased confidence, a deeper understanding of nature, or a handcrafted item they've created themselves. As a child-led Forest School, our sessions follow the interests of the children. Rather than rushing through a set timetable, we encourage them to immerse themselves in the activities that capture their imagination. This means not every activity will take place during each session, allowing children the time and freedom to learn at their own pace. Whether your child loves climbing trees, creating woodland crafts, discovering wildlife, or learning practical outdoor skills, Bushy Tail Tribe Forest School offers a welcoming space where they can thrive.
